The first woman to make a parachute descent from an altitude of 900 meters on 12 October 1799.

She was Russian. She was the first woman who went to space. 

Claudie Haigneré

She is a French astronaut. She was  the first astronaut who went to the space station in 2001.

She was the first woman test pilot in France. She was Jacqueline Cochran's rival for 15 years. She was born on November 5th, 1917 and died February 11th, 2000

 French aircraft pilot since 1935 and feminist activist for women's right to vote.

We decided to present them , just because we admire them, although they are not european.

She was an airplane pilot who won the title of fastest aviator in the world against Jacqueline Auriol. She was the first woman to succeed landing without visibility. She was also the first person to cross the sound barrier in a production unit and  she beat the speed record held by Jacqueline Auriol flying at 1 050 km / h. She was born on May 11th , 1906 in Florida and she died  in August 9th 1980  in California.

She was an American woman. She was the first woman who flew accross the Atlantic Ocean  in 1928. 

Anna fisher

She is not from Europe; She is  American. She was the first woman who took part in a mission with the NASA in 1980.

We all know there are more men than women working for NASA..

She was a Turkish woman. She was the first woman who piloted a fighter plane in 1937.
