Gabrielle Chanel "Coco Chanel" was born on 19th August 1883 in Saumur ; she died on 10th January 1971 in Paris. She is a big fashion designer, a symbol of the French elegance.
In 1910, she created her first hat shop.
In 1921, she invented her perfume "Chanel n°5", it had a very big sucess.
In 1931, Samuel Goldwyn asked her to create dresses for the American stars of Holywood.
Because of the war, she closed her shop.
