Did you know that there was a law prohibitting women to wear trousers??

Strange, isn't it? yes, but it is true!

That law dates back to 17th November 1800!

What dit it say? we propose a translation:

"Any woman who wishes to dress like a man must report at the " Police Headquarters" to be allowed.

That law considers that "women  disguise" themselves if they wear trousers!.

Later, in 1892 and in 1909, women were allowed to wear trousers "if they were holding a handlebar or a horse's reins".

It is evident that the goal was to limit access to some jobs and to keep the women at home as good housewives.

what about today?

Well, do you believe it? that law was abolished on 31st January 2013!

Today that law is against equality between men and women as it is mentioned in the European Convention of Human Rights!

So, girls are not outlaw today! They can wear trousers! Any trousers!
